The United Republic of China by achaley The United Republic of China by achaley
This Flag Represents if the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China Were to peacefully reunite into One Democratic nation

The three stars represent Sun Yat-sen's Three Principles of the People

(You may use my art freely just remember to give me credit)

"If the idea of revolution is to win out, it must be through political enlightenment. It is useless to try to impose it by force of arms." Sun Yat-sen

If the KMT won... I wonder how that would have changed our history... :+fav:

Well I know that the Vietnam war as well as the Korean war would have been dramatically different as a result

Indeed. Communism in Asia wouldn't have had a leg to stand on without the PRC's backing and Russia was pretty tied down in other battles with the West.

Awesome design, very striking.  This is the type of design vexillologists love to see - simple, without text, and contextual to the people it would represent.

I love tweaking existing designs, however I used mine for fictional cultures rather than alternate histories.

This is another possible flag of united China. However, I would prefer this deviation or its version.
For Chinese language I would use another flags.

I believe in time the ROC will join the PRC as a SAR and after 50 years the SARs will retain their democratic government. I also believe that in time the rest of China will slowly become democratic.

From proposals for flag of future Taiwan SAR (googled) I prefer this one.

It's too bad the Kuomindang is so full of radicals.

Except they are not. They fallow an ideology the "Three Principals of the People" which are democracy, civic (not ethnic) nationalism, and welfare. Yes they are all vague but the fact of the matter is they just want to have the mainland back under the rule of the people. And technically like Korea China is a country in civil war between two governments.

From what I've heard (which are, admittedly, mostly outsider opinions) is that the modern Kuomindang in Taiwan is similar to the American Republican party, that is, noble goals, but the common man is a bit crazy about it sometimes. I've never been to Taiwan myself. Personally, I like the party quite a bit.
