The Regency of Kalenia

The Regency of Kalenia - modern, democratic state established by a refugees from the Empire. After the fall of the old empire, one of the Imperial colonies became a target for everyone escaping the grasp of Endar. The strange mix of the native population, aristocratic refugees, colonists and soldiers from the colonial armed forces created The Regency of Kalenia - a country ruled, de facto, by Krytarchy and aristocrats. The highest-ranking officer of Krytarchy proclaimed himself as a regent for the sons of Hainrich, lost during the turmoil of the Endar rebellion.

Even after ages and a few revolutions, title of regent is still traditionally in use. Regent is a head of state, elected for life, elected by the aristocrats, krytarchs and most rich people in the country. However, the country is de facto ruled by a chancellor, elected in free elections.

As the traditional enemy of The New Empire, The Regency is a leader of the democratic alliance. Publicly no one believes that The Empire will reclaim its lost land, but privately many people still fear that one day, The Empires avaricious gaze will fall upon them...
